Yiruma

Yiruma is South Korean who plays and composes western style music specifically romanticism. He leads the modern piano movement though his expressive and introspective songs.

Romanticism

Romanticism highlights and emphasizes emotional subjectivity of a musician, individualism, idea, scene or fascination with fantasy. Romantic composers and musicians aim for a powerful expression of emotion in revealing their innermost thoughts and feelings. Therefore, Romantic music is not only about romantic love but anything that reveals strong emotions. Also, Romanticism is not restricted to the late 19th century in Europe. Yiruma could be classified as a neo-romanticist.
