It is estimated that in the year 1907, piano was used in compositions by Korean composers as it was imported for the first time in Korean History. The first composer is assumed to be a prince due to its rarity and price of a piano. Since then, the majority of Koreans are able to afford piano lessons and classes and are frequently exposed to the music culture. Thus, the number of piano compositions by Koreans has drastically increased.
